Job Description
Kelly Construction is seeking an experienced and energetic MEP engineer to lead its MEP division. The successful candidate must be willing and able to work in several Caribbean countries where we operate. Further requirements are listed below.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The MEP Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Key responsibilities include:
- Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions
- Lead in the submission, receipt and review of MEP submittals
- Log and post all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings
- Lead the scope review, budgeting and justification of MEP change work orders
- Lead in the installation of MEP Work
- Direct, monitor and control the activities of MEP subcontractors
- Coordinate MEP related materials, systems and shop drawings submittals
- Liaise with client supervisory engineers, inspectors and relevant staff
- Lead in testing and commissioning of MEP equipment
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Plumbing Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the MEP field
- Knowledge of Building and Construction procedures, practices, and codes
- Computer Literate and proficient in PM Software (MS Project, MS SharePoint)
- Working knowledge of plans, specs, and schematics associated with MEP field
- Excellent communication and organizational skill

- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
- Speak English fluently
